And while every hiring manager looks for something different and has their own preferences, I thought I’d share some things we’ve appreciated seeing in the submissions that have come through our inbox.
GenAI and Creatives: Building the Future We Want
Conversations around generative AI, especially among creatives, can be difficult. And understandably so—especially when certain large corporations and groups of tech enthusiasts seem most excited at the prospect of leveraging it to replace human artists and writers.
It’s especially frustrating to see so much oxygen in the room getting consumed by folks who pit AI innovations against creative folks, when there is so much potential for it to unlock new kinds of storytelling and creative expression.
A focus on AI.
I don’t like Kool-Aid.
As a technologist, new breakthroughs always come with swells of excitement that often overinflate what the technology can accomplish, with true innovations coming from disciplined discoveries of actual applications rather than endless chasing of the latest fad-driven cycle. Few things live up to the hype.
That said: I am deeply excited by AI.
